PE and Sports at St James

Sport is very important to us at St James. We have fantastic facilities for use during PE lessons, at break times and for before and after school clubs. We are situated a short walk from Franklin’s Gardens, home of Northampton Saints Rugby Club, and a slightly longer walk from Sixfields leisure area and home of 'The Cobblers', Northampton Town Football Club. We have close working relationships with both of these fantastic clubs.
We employ external coaches to put on high quality Extra Curricular opportunities for all ages to access, aswell as myself teaching 'Whole School PE' we also employ LBDC (Miss Wilkinson) to run alongside myself and deliver the other half of the KS2 PE, so we can ensure each child is getting high quality lessons, all through the curriculum.
